What is licensing?

This is the most common question we hear. Essentially, licensing is "renting" an artist's work or designs
to use on a variety of products. Rather than paying for the art upfront, the artist
receives a percentage when the product sells.

The largest benefit to licensing for a company is minimizing risk. The company is only out a small
advance if the product does not sell but they have access to all the cutting-edge art they need.
